Jerusalem - Lutheran Church of the Redeemer
The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer currently houses Lutheran congregations that worship in Arabic, German, Danish, and English. It is difficult to worship as a Christian in Jerusalem - many members are not free to travel to the church. Kaiser Wilhelm I received the land from Sultan Abdülaziz of the Ottoman Empire in 1869. It was constructed from 1892-1898. Kaiser Wilhelm II personally dedicated it in 1898.
