I was standing on the very stones that Jesus stood on during his judgement. I could see the markings on one of the stones that the soldiers had used when they decided who would receive his robe. It's in the Bible - John describes this place with the flat paving stones. I braved the TSA, political unrest, and Kosher food to make this journey - and this moment made it worthwhile.

If there had been fine print it would have told me that this cannot be the place and these cannot be the stones. I was standing on an ancient street that was constructed well after the time of Christ.
